Australia posted a respectable 176/5 in their allotted 20 overs against Sri Lanka in the third and final Twenty20 International of the series at the Pallekele International Stadium in Kandy.
Opener David Warner top scored with 39 off 33 deliveries while Marcus Stoinis hit 38 in 23 balls.
At the latter part of the innings, experienced Steven Smith scored a brilliant 37 not out of 27 balls.
For Sri Lanka, Maheesh Theekshana finished with figures of 2/25.
Wanindu Hasaranga and Praveen Jayawickrama picked up a wicket apiece.
Sri Lankans have already lost the series 2-0 after defeats in the opening two games of the tour.
The two teams will play a five-match One-Day International series after today’s T20I.
The opening ODI will get underway in Kandy on Tuesday.
