Former Sri Lanka captain Upul Tharanga has agreed to play in the fourth edition of the Everest Premier League in Nepal.
The Bhairahawa Gladiators has announced that it has successfully completed the signing of Upul Tharanga for the fourth edition of the EPL, which is scheduled to start from the 25th of September 25.
The club had earlier announced the signing of former Sri Lankan captain and wicket keeper Dinesh Chandimal as well.
However, Chandimal will be absent from the upcoming league due to his commitment for international duties.
Left-arm wicketkeeper Upul Tharanga has played 31 Tests, 235 ODIs and 26 T20Is for Sri Lanka.
He has played 125 T20 games in total and has scored 3,384 runs in T20 cricket including two centuries and 19 fifties.
Former Nepali cricket coach Pubudu Dassanayake has been selected as the coach of the team.
