Test captain Pat Cummins, allrounder Cameron Green, and Marnus Labuschagne have been added to Australia’s One-Day International squad to take on Sri Lanka in a five-match series.
The ODI series begins tomorrow in Kandy.
The trio was not part of Australia’s Twenty20 International squad that won the three-match series 2-1.
The trio will train in Kandy this morning while Jhye Richardson and Kane Richardson, who were both expensive in Sri Lanka’s remarkable T20 victory at the Pallekele Stadium on Saturday, have also been named for the one-dayers.
Meanwhile, after missing the third T20I defeat with a calf strain, Mitchell Marsh will also miss at least the first two ODIs of a series while Mitchell Starc who sustained a finger injury is expected to return only at the back end of the ODIs.
Sean Abbott was ruled out of the series due to a broken finger.
Last week, Sri Lanka named a 21-member squad led by Dasun Shanaka to take on Australia in the one-dayers.
