Skipper Dasun Shanaka says Sri Lanka’s approach and mindset needs to change in Twenty20 Internationals.
Sri Lanka last evening lost to South Africa by 9 wickets in the 2nd T20 and conceded the series with one game to spare.
Speaking after the game, Skipper Shanaka said “Our batsmen needed to rotate the strike more. We have to change our approach, batting in the middle period has been a concern for a long period, consistently for two to three years.”
Shanaka assured they will come up with better plans in the next game.
The series finale will be played at the R Premadasa International Stadium tomorrow.
Despite a depleted side, Sri Lanka managed to claim the ODI series under the captaincy of Shanaka.
He will also lead the Sri Lanka side at the upcoming Twenty20 World Cup to be played in the United Arab Emirates and Oman.
