Sri Lanka posted a respectable 337 in the second innings of the first Test against Pakistan in Galle and set a 342-run target for the visitors to win the series opener.

Sri Lanka managed to add only 8 runs this morning as Prabath Jayasuriya was dismissed for 4 as the last wicket of the innings.

Dinesh Chandimal was stranded on 94 not out and missed out on a deserved century. Kusal Mendis scored 76 while Oshada Fernando contributed to Sri Lanka’s second innings with 64.

For Pakistan, Mohammad Nawaz had figures of 5/88 while Yasir Shah picked up 3/122.

Pakistan in their first innings scored 218 while Sri Lanka posted 222 after winning the toss.
