Sri Lanka will take on South Africa in the third and final Twenty20 International of the series at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo this evening.
The game is slated to get underway at 7pm.
The Dasun Shanaka-led team will seek to avoid a series whitewash today after meekly going down to the visitors in the first two games of the series.
Despite winning the ODI series 2-1, the Lankans lost the first two T20s by 28 runs and 9 wickets respectively.
Sri Lanka’s batting has been poor in both matches and constant changes to the lineup have also played a part in the team failing to cross 140 runs in the series.
The South Africans buoyant following the return of the seniors will be brimming with confidence heading into the series finale today.
The Khettarama surface is likely to take more turn today but like in previous games, rain could also play a major part.
Skipper Shanaka who has talked about change in approach would want to send the South Africans to bat first and utilize the spin-laden attack to his advantage this week.
Sri Lanka has named the squad for the T20 World Cup and therefore it is likely few more changes will be made to the lineup for this evening’s encounter.
