After having had named a provisional squad earlier, Sri Lanka have named their final 18-man squad to take on Australia for the two-Test series with a recall for uncapped Jeffrey Vandersay.
Vandersay, in 2018, was a part of the Sri Lankan squad that toured the West Indies but was sent back home due to a disciplinary breach over a night out.
He subsequently was put on probation with a one-year suspension from all forms of international cricket and also fined 20% of his annual contract fee.
However, he has a shot of making his Test debut, after returning five wickets in four games he played in the ODI series.
Kamil Mishara, Mohamed Shiraz, Shiran Fernando, Lahiru Kumara, Lakshitha Rasanjana and Suminda Lakshan were left out of those named in the provisional squad.
Dimuth Karunaratne will lead the side with Sri Lanka taking confidence from their series win over Bangladesh.
The Test series that is being played under the ICC World Test Championship will begin on June 29 at the Galle International Cricket Stadium.
Sri Lanka won the preceding five-match ODI series 3-2.
The squad includes Dimuth Karunaratne, Pathum Nissanka, Oshada Fernando, Angelo Mathews, Kusal Mendis, Dhananjaya de Silva, Kamindu Mendis, Niroshan Dickwella, Dinesh Chandimal, Ramesh Mendis, and Chamika Karunaratne.
Kasun Rajitha, Vishwa Fernando, Asitha Fernando, Dilshan Madushanka, Praveen Jayawickrama, Lasith Embuldeniya, and Jeffrey Vandersay are also part of the squad.
