Sri Lanka has announced its final 15 member squad for the 2021 Twenty20 World Cup.
The final squad was determined by the Cricket Selection Committee for the World Cup which will be worked off in the UAE and Oman from the 17th of October to the 14th of November.
The team will be Captained by Dasun Shanaka while Dhananjaya De Silva has been named his Vice Captain.
The squad includes experienced players Kusal Perera and Dinesh Chandimal.
The Sri Lanka team also includes Pathum Nissanka, Charith Asalanka, Avishka Fernando, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Chamika Karunaratne and Wanindu Hasaranga.
Dushmantha Chameera, Lahiru Kumara, Maheesh Theekshana, Akila Dananjaya and Binura Fernando all made it to the 15 team squad.
Sri Lanka’s qualifying group games against Namibia and Ireland are scheduled to be played in Abu Dhabi on the 18th and the 20th of October while the Sri Lanka-Netherlands encounter will be played off on the 22nd of October.
