Sri Lanka Captain Chamari Athapaththu scored a inspirational 85-ball 101 and then returned to pick a couple of wickets to help Sri Lanka secure a 93-run win over Pakistan women in the final ODI of the series in Karachi.
Twenty-three year old Harshita Madavi scored 75 as Sri Lanka posted 260 for 7 before dismantling Pakistan well short, on 167 in the 42nd over.
Sri Lanka made a disastrous start to the day when they lost opener Hasini Perera and Hansima Karunaratne by the second over.
But Athapaththu stepped up to steer the innings out of the wreckage in the company of Madavi, as the pair added 152 for the third wicket.
Though Athapaththu fell, Sri Lanka’s middle-order fought through small stands to push the team to 260 for 7.
In response, Pakistan started well but suffered a mini collapse, going from 41 for 0 to 48 for 4. Pakistan pushed back through a middle-order partnership between Omaima Sohail and Aliya Riaz.
But once Sugandika Kumari cleaned up the former, another set of wickets tumbled as Pakistan folded for just 167 in the 42nd over – handing Sri Lanka a 93-run win.
Sri Lanka lost all three T20Is as well the first two of the ODIs series against Pakistan.
