Sri Lanka Cricket has decided to handover the proceeds from ticket sales during the Sri Lanka-Australia series to the Ministry of Sports to be used for the welfare of people affected by the economic crisis.
Speaking during the pre-match briefing, SLC Secretary Mohan de Silva said the revenue from ticket sales will be handed to authorities considering the prevailing situation in the country.
He also appreciated the Australian team for visiting Sri Lanka during the current climate.
The SLC Secretary noted that a successful conduct of the series will also help the country in general.
The series will begin tomorrow with a Twenty20 International at the R Premadasa International Cricket Stadium.
