Sri Lanka will take on Australia in the second One-Day International of the five-match series in Kandy this afternoon.
Sri Lanka lost the opening game of the series on Tuesday by two wickets under the DLS method.
Sri Lanka after opting to bat first went onto make 300/7 in their allotted 50 overs.
Following a rain delay, Australians were given a revised target of 282 runs in 44 overs.
The visitors overhauled the target in 42.3 overs losing 8 wickets.
Meanwhile, following the opening game in Kandy, Marcus Stoinis has been ruled out of the remainder of the series while Ashton Agar will not be available for section for today’s encounter due to injuries.
Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga has also been ruled out of the second ODI due to a groin strain.
Despite the loss of Hasaranga, Sri Lanka will be keen to win the second ODI and square the series before heading down to Colombo for the remaining three matches.
The Sri Lanka-Australia second ODI will get underway at the Pallekele International Stadium at 2.30pm.
