The Sri Lanka Cricket has issued 14 new coaching appointments today. Issuing a statement the SLC said Former Head Coach of Netherlands Anton Roux was appointed as the National Fielding Coach, effective from the 7th of March.
As part of the restructuring program of the High Performance Center, Sri Lanka Cricket, made 14 appointments to the Coaching Unit.
Roux, who played 1st Class Cricket in South Africa, will be in-charge of fielding across all national teams and the High Performance Center.
The appointments for the Sri Lanka ‘A’ Team include Avishka Gunawardene as Head Coach, Thilina Kandamby as Assistant Coach, Malinda Warnapura as Batting Coach, Sajeewa Weerakoon as Bowling Coach and Upul Chandana as Fielding Coach.
The Sri Lanka Emerging Team include Ruwan Kalpage who was appointed Head Coach, Ruvin Peiris as Assistant Coach, Dharshana Gamage as Bowling Coach and Dhammika Sudarshana as Batting Coach.
The U-19 team appointments include Jehan Mubarak as Head Coach, Sampath Perera as Assistant / Batting Coach, Chamila Gamage as Bowling Coach and Gayan Wijekoon as Fielding Coach.
The new coaching appointments were approved by the Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket.
