Defending Champions Kandy Sports Club defeated Sri Lanka Army 21-17 in an Inter-Club A-Division Rugby League encounter at Havelock Park this evening.

Army led 17-14 at half time but Kandy bounced back with a match-winning try from Nigel Ratwatte.

The game did not last its duration due to heavy rains at Havelock Park which deprived the Kandy side a bonus point.

Despite not being able to claim the bonus point, the win helped Kandy climb to the top of the League Points Table.

Kandy with 35 points is on top of the table while Havelock with 33 occupies the second position.

CH & FC and Sri Lanka Air Force round up the top four of the Inter-Club A-Division Rugby League Points Table.
