Sri Lanka’s Milka Gehani de Silva failed to progress to the finals of the Women’s All-Around Artistic Gymnastics event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games after finishing 78th during the qualifying stage.
Earlier today, Milka Gehani de Silva finished 28th in her qualifying group two of the Women’s All-Around event.
Milka Gehani totalled 45.798 at the Ariake Gymnastics Centre with 13.366 in vault, 10.866 in uneven bars, 11.266 in Balance beam and 10.300 in floor rotation.
de Silva’s tally placed her 78th overall in the competition which saw 85 gymnasts in fray.
Olympic gold medallist Simone Biles qualified as first with a total score of 57.731 ahead of Brazils’ Rebeca Andrade and Sunisa Lee of the US.
The final of the event will be held at the same venue on Thursday.
