Dambulla Giants beat Colombo Stars by 6 wickets to progress to the Qualifier 2 of the Lankan Premier League 2021.

Chasing 146 to progress to the Qualifier 2, Dambulla reached the target in 18.5 overs.

Janith Liyanage scored an impressive 56 off 47 balls while Najibullah Zadran hit 34 off 28 deliveries.

Earlier after opting to bat first at the Sooriyawewa Stadium in Hambantota, Colombo Stars went onto post 145/6 in their 20 overs.

Skipper Angelo Mathews scored 50 off 34 deliveries while Pathum Nissanka hit 42 off 39 balls.

Nuwan Pradeep and Imran Tahir chipped in with two wickets apiece.

Meanwhile, Jaffna Kings will take on Galle Gladiators in the Qualifier 1 of the 2021 LPL at the same venue at 8.30pm.
