Havelock Sports Club defeated Sri Lanka Navy Sports Club by 21-05 to kick-start their Inter-Club Rugby League campaign at Havelock Park this evening.

Havies started well in the opening half scoring three unanswered tries but could not make an impact in the latter part of the game.

They led 21-00 at lemons.

Ramesh Fernando scored two tries while Asitha Punchihewa scored the other try for the home term. S

andesh Jayawickrama converted all three tries.

Amith Gunasinghe scored the solitary try for Navy.

Meanwhile, tomorrow, CH & FC will take on Sri Lanka Police Sports Club in the final game of this week’s Inter-Club Rugby League tournament fixtures.
