Five additional players have been named in Sri Lanka’s touring party for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.
SLC said in a statement, that Pathum Nissanka, Minod Bhanuka, Ashen Bandara, Lakshan Sandakan and Ramesh Mendis will also be part of Sri Lanka’s touring party due to leave for Oman on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Lahiru Madushanka, who was named in the original squad for the T20 World Cup, will not travel with the team as he is recovering from an injury.
Accordingly, a total of 23 players will consist of Sri Lanka’s World Cup Squad.
The squad has been ratified by the Minister of Sports.
Sri Lanka is due to kick-start the T20 World Cup campaign against Namibia on the 18th of October.
