Bhanuka Rajapaksa has attributed Sri Lanka’s unbeaten run at the Twenty20 World Cup to the team’s approach and the belief players have in one another.
Sri Lanka beat Bangladesh by 5 wickets yesterday on the back of Rajapaksa making 51 and Charith Asalanka’s unbeaten 80 off 49 balls.
They also won the three qualifying games convincingly.
After the game, Bhanuka Rajapaksa hailed the performances against Bangladesh saying the result is phenomenal because of the way Asalanka handled the situation and how he kept the tempo.
He said the maturity shown by Charith Asalanka at No.3 was commendable.
He also said, “What we have started doing is we have started believing in each other and we have started speaking to each other. We believe in all the boys. That’s how we’ve been consistent throughout the last eight games.” Sri Lanka will next meet Australia on Thursday in Dubai.
