SL v AUS 1st ODI: Australia playing XI announced

Australia have named the playing XI for the first One-Day International against Sri Lanka to be played in Kandy tomorrow.

Australia have named the playing XI for the first One-Day International against Sri Lanka to be played in Kandy tomorrow.

Aaron Finch will lead the side which will include Test skipper Pat Cummins.

David Warner will open the batting with Finch while Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Marcus Stoinis, and Glenn Maxwell will form the middle order.

Alex Carey has been named as the designated wicket-keeper for the first ODI.

Josh Hazlewood will lead the pace attack which will comprise of Cummins and Jhye Richardson while Ashton Agar has been named as the specialist spinner.

Sri Lankans are yet to name the playing XI for the game.

The opening ODI of the five-match series will get underway at the Pallekele International stadium at 2.30pm tomorrow.
