Australia will resume Day Two of the First Test against Sri Lanka at the Galle International Stadium this morning on 98/3.

At stumps on Day One, they were trailing the Lankans by 114 runs.

Opener Usman Khawaja was unbeaten on 47 while Travis Head was on 6 at close of play.

David Warner scored 25 while for Sri Lanka Ramesh Mendis had figures of 2/35.

Last morning, Skipper Dimuth Karunaratne won the toss and elected to bat first but Sri Lanka was dismissed for 212.

Niroshan Dickwella top scored with 58 while Angelo Mathews made 39.

For the visitors, Nathan Lyon finished with 5/90 while Mitchell Swepson had 3/55.

Day Two will resume at 10am.
