Cabinet Spokesman Minister Dallus Allahappemura says a permanent solution for the long-standing salary anomalies issue of teachers and principals will be presented before the country next week.

Speaking during a media briefing in Colombo today, Minister Alahapperuma said the report compiled by the Ministerial subcommittee was discussed yesterday and they are hoping to deliberate the contents further during next week’s meeting as well.

Minister Dullas Alahapperuma noted that the subcommittee report was handed over to the Ministry of Finance last week and they are seeking to obtain the views of other stakeholders as well.

He claimed subsequently a decision on the matter will be announced to the country.
