The first meeting to obtain views and suggestions from the backbenchers of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna to compile the 2022 Budget was held today.
The meeting held at Temple Trees was chaired by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Proposals were obtained regarding ways to strengthen the national economy, matters that needed to be focused on national level and projects that are to be initiated at rural and district levels.
The Prime Minister’s Media Division said SLPP backbenchers submitted a number of proposals covering various sectors to be included in the upcoming Budget.
