SLC Reds defeated SLC Blues by 6 wickets in the seventh match of the Sri Lanka Cricket Invitational Twenty20 League tournament at the Pallekele International Cricket stadium this evening.
Batting first, the Blues could only muster 146/7 in their allotted 20 overs.
Dhananjaya Lakshan top scored with 55 off 47 deliveries. Lahiru Samarakoon made an unbeaten 35 off 21 balls while Nishan Madushka made a better than run-a-ball 25.
For the Reds, Himesh Ramanayake took 4/31 while Chamika Karunaratne had figures of 2/37.
The Reds then reached their target in 19 overs losing just 4 wickets.
Skipper Dinesh Chandimal spearheaded the chase with 59 off 44 balls while Oshada Fernando hit 27 from 23 deliveries.
Meanwhile, the start of the game between the SLC Greys and SLC Greens has been delayed due to rain in Kandy.
