Sri Lanka Cricket says they will host the West Indies for a two-match test series during this month and the next, starting the 2023 ICC World Test Championship Cycle.
The two matches will mark the commencement of Sri Lanka’s and the West Indies’ journey in the run-up to the ICC World Test Championship.
The series will kick off with a warm-up game against the SLC President’s XI beginning tomorrow till the 17th of November at the SSC, Colombo.
The side will be captained by T20 star batsman Charith Asalanka and also include the likes of Pathum Nissanka, Oshada Fernando, Dhananjaya de Silva, Roshen Silva, Minod Bhanuka, Chamika Karunaratne, Asitha Fernando, Kamil Mishara, Chamika Gunasekera, Suminda Lakshan, Lakshan Sandakan, Ramesh Mendis, Lasith Embuldeniya and Vishwa Fernando.
The first Test match will be played from November 21st to 25th.
The second test will be held from November 29th to December 2nd.
