Six arrested over several robberies in Colombo & Gampaha

A total of six persons have been arrested over several robberies reported in Colombo and Gampaha.

COLOMBO (NewsRadio); A total of six persons have been arrested over several robberies reported in Colombo and Gampaha.

The group is accused of robbing Rs.222,000 worth of goods from a shop in Kiribathgoda, three computers from a school in Grandpass and Rs.50,000 worth of battery of a vehicle from a government office in Grandpass.

The Police Media Division said officers have managed to recover three monitors, three UPS devices, a fan and a vehicle battery from the suspects’ possession.

The arrested individuals, age between 24 and 45 are residents of Wellampitiya, Colombo 14, Serunuwara, and Nikaweratiya.

The group has been handed over to the Grandpas Police.
