COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Department of Meteorology predicts showers or thundershowers at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts today.
A few showers may occur in the Jaffna and Anuradhapura districts as well.
The Met Department added that showers or thundershowers can be expected in several places in the Central, Uva and Eastern provinces and in the Polonnaruwa and Mullaitivu districts during the evening or night.
Meanwhile, the general public has been requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
