COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Department of Meteorology predicts showers or thundershowers over most parts of the island after 2pm.
The Met Department said fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, Western and North-western provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
It added showers may occur in the Galle and Matara districts during the morning too.
Meanwhile, the general public has been requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
