Minister of Trade Bandula Gunawardana says a solution will be provided promptly to the shortage of Laugfs domestic gas cylinders in the market.
Minister Gunawardana said he will take steps tomorrow pertaining to the matter.
The Minister said crude oil and gas prices have increased in the international market and companies will not be able to survive if stocks are sold at lower rates after purchasing it for higher prices.
Minister Gunawardana said the Ministry of Finance and Litro gas company will provide assistance regarding the situation at Laugfs gas.
He said there is no requirement to purchase additional Litro gas cylinders as the Finance Ministry and State Minister of Consumer Protection Lasantha Alagiyawanna will provide solutions to issues at Laugfs.
