The Sri Lanka Navy vessel ‘Shakthi’ has set sail to transport oxygen from India to Sri Lanka.
Navy Media Spokesman Captain Indika de Silva said the ship is due to leave for the Chennai Port.
The Ministry of Health recently decided to import oxygen due to the increasing demand as a result of the rise in the number of coronavirus patients.
Accordingly, a decision was reached to import oxygen from Malaysia and India.
