(NewsRadio); A seven-year-old girl has died in a motor accident in Kahataruppa, Badulla.

The Police Media Division said three girls were injured when a bus collided head on with a three-wheeler in Ampitiya along the Kahataruppa-Badulla road.

The injured girls who were travelling in the three-wheeler were admitted to the Kendagolla Hospital for treatment.

One of the girls who was critically injured was then transferred to the Badulla General Hospital.

She succumbed to injuries while receiving treatment at the Badulla Hospital.

The corpse is currently placed at the hospital morgue.

The driver of the bus has been arrested while the Kahataruppa Police is conducting further investigations.
