The Committee on Parliamentary Business today (21) approved the proposal presented by Serjeant-at-Arms of Parliament Narendra Fernando, to give school children the opportunity to visit and observe Parliament on the days that the House is in session.
Accordingly, school children have the opportunity to observe Parliament debates live from the public gallery in the Parliament Chamber.
Restrictions on visiting Parliament due to the COVID situation and security reasons, were eased as of the 20th of September.
Accordingly, school authorities can apply by way of forwarding a letter to the Serjeant-at-Arms, via
