COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Operations of the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery will resume today.
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation issuing a statement said the refinery will function at full capacity from this morning.
The CPC said 90,000MT of murban crude oil, arrived in Sri Lanka after payments were completed and offloading at the Sapugaskanda Refinery have been completed.
Steps have also been taken to procure another 90,000MT of crude oil for further activities of the refinery.
The CPC noted that despite being shut down, maintenance continued under the supervision of engineers and therefore operations will resume at full capacity.
Accordingly, 1,600MT of diesel, 550MT of petrol, 950MT of kerosene oil and aviation fuel, 1,450MT of furnace oil and 450MT of naphtha will be produced through the refinery daily.
