COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Ministry of Transport says directives have been issued to the National Transport Commission to reduce by fares in line with today’s fuel prices revision.
Accordingly, the minimum bus fare will be reduced to Rs. 30 with effect from midnight tomorrow (30).
The Transport Ministry said the revision of other fares will be announced shortly after the completion of calculations. Meanwhile, domestic fuel prices have been revised with effect from midnight.
Accordingly, the price of a litre of Octane 92 petrol has been reduced by Rs. 60 to Rs. 340.
The price of a litre of Octane 95 petrol has been reduced by Rs. 135 to Rs. 375.
Meanwhile, the price of a litre of Auto diesel has also been reduced by Rs. 80 to Rs. 325.
The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation said the price of a litre of Super diesel will come down by Rs. 45 to Rs. 465.
Furthermore, the price of a litre of Kerosene oil will be reduced by Rs. 10 to Rs. 295 from midnight.
Lanka Indian Oil Corporation also announced that it will revise domestic fuel prices with effect from midnight.
LIOC informed customers that the fuel prices at LIOC filling stations will be the same as at Ceylon Petroleum Corporation-run filling stations from midnight.
