The Ministerial Consultative Committee on Justice, Prisons Affairs and Constitutional Reforms has decided to postpone the second reading debate of the Regulation of Election Expenditure Bill by a month on a request made by Members of Parliament.
The decision was reached when the Ministerial Consultative Committee convened in Parliament today (17) under the patronage of Chairman Minister Wijayadasa Rajapakshe.
The debate on the second reading of the Bureau of Rehabilitation Bill was approved at the committee following the consideration of the relevant amendments made to the Bill.
Accordingly, the Bureau of Rehabilitation Bill will be taken up for debate tomorrow (18) to be passed in Parliament.
