Avishka Fernando and Dinesh Chandimal put on 133 in a first wicket partnership in the fifth match of the SLC T20 League Tournament against the Greens to claim a 10 wicket win this evening.

The Reds, who lost both their previous matches, recorded their first win of the tournament marking the Greens’ third consecutive defeat.

Avishka Fernando was acclaimed man of the match for his 82 off 58 balls that included 6 sixes and 4 fours.

Chandimal’s 51 run innings off 44 balls included four sixes and four fours.

Despite winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the Greens’ batsmen didn’t receive the support they would have hoped for.

The Reds’ Chamika Karunaratne, the Reds’ most successful bowler, bagged three wickets for 26 runs in four overs, while Seekuge Prasanna claimed 2-20.
