Presidential Secretary Saman Ekanayake says he is prepared to grant more opportunities to young state officers in the implementation of government development programmes.

In addition, the President’s Secretary said state officers can have great influence in advancing development programmes of the government and requested officers to actively contribute towards this purpose.

The President’s Secretary expressed his views while addressing the annual meeting of the 2012 team of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service recently.

Ekanayake said President Wickremesinghe has accepted responsibility amid many challenges and is currently taking steps to create a developed country by systematically building the economy.

The President’s Secretary also commended the service rendered by the 2012 group towards the country’s betterment.
