COLOMBO (NewsRadio); State Minister of Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya has refuted claims that 239 vehicles have been imported for State Ministers.

The State stressed that there is no truth in the opposition’s accusations that 239 vehicles have been imported.

State Minister Siyambalapitiya noted that only ambulances, water transport bowsers, and double cabs for wildlife conservation were imported in 2021.

State Minister of Finance Ranjith Siyambalapitiya added that they have not held any discussions to import vehicles after 2021.

He said the Finance Ministry is engaging in strict financial management during the current crisis.
