COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka is seeking public opinion regarding the revision of electricity tariffs proposed by the Ceylon Electricity Board for 2023.
Issuing a statement, PUCSL said in accordance with Section 30 of the Electricity Act No. 20 of 2009, the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka has decided to seek public opinion (stakeholder consultation) regarding the revision of electricity tariffs proposed by the distribution licensee (Ceylon Electricity Board) for the year 2023.
The proposed third electricity tariff revision 2023 proposal submitted to the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka by the Ceylon Electricity Board can be accessed by visiting the website www.pucsl.gov.lk.
The PUCSL said written comments and suggestions from the public and other stakeholders regarding the proposed third electricity tariff revision for 2023 will be accepted till October 18, 2023.
The oral stakeholder consultation on the matter will be held on 18th October 2023 at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Colombo.
This stakeholder consultation is conducted in terms of the powers assigned to the Commission under Section 17 of the Sri Lanka Public Utilities Commission Act No. 35 of 2002.
Written comments and suggestions regarding the proposed third electricity tariff revision for 2023 can be submitted via post, through fax, email or by visiting the PUCSL website.
