Samagi Jana Balawegaya Parliamentarian Rohini Wijerathna says the public who were expecting a prosperous Budget for 2022, have been presented a blank document.
Commencing the 5th day of the Budget debate in Parliament, the Parliamentarian said the proposals presented last week will increase the wealth of contractors, and ignore the hunger of the common people.
She stressed, an economic crisis has come about as essentials such as rice, sugar, dhal and milk powder were scarce in the local market, adding that people cannot afford such essentials either.
MP Wijerathna claimed that farmers has no use of a government that is unable to provide fertiliser.
