The Lanka Private Bus Owners Association has suggested a special system to be implemented to ensure an efficient public transportation plan.
The President of the Association Gemunu Wijeratne told NewsRadio individuals above 30 years of age hoping to use public transport must present a copy of their vaccination card when entering buses.
He said individuals who have not been vaccinated and are over 30 years will be charged double the fare according to the proposal.
He also revealed the same protocol will be followed in luxury buses.
Gemunu Wijeratne said the proposal will be Presented to President Gotabaya Rajapaksa tomorrow, and will be implemented from Monday, if approved.
