Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and the Sri Lankan delegation that left the island yesterday to attend the 2021 G20 Interfaith Forum have landed in Bologna, Italy.
The Prime Minister’s Media Division said the Sri Lankan delegation was received by officials of the Italian government and officers attached to the Sri Lankan Embassy in Italy.
The 2021 G20 Interfaith Forum will be held in Bologna, from tomorrow to the 14th of September.
The G20 Interfaith Forum will be held under the theme “Time To Heal – Peace among cultures, understanding between religions.”
The Prime Minister’s Media Division said Premier Rajapaksa received an invitation to deliver the keynote address at the opening session of the forum.
During his visit, Premier Mahinda Rajapaksa is scheduled to hold discussions with several dignitaries including with Prime Minister of Italy Mario Dragh, President of Slovenia Borut Pahor and the President of the European Parliament, David Sassoli.
