COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The All Island Canteen Owners’ Association says it will convene a meeting today to arrive at a decision to revise prices of food items in line with the LP gas price increase.

The Association said it is compelled to revise prices since a large number of canteens have already been closed due to the increase in production cost.

It points out that without a price revision; the remaining canteens might also be shut in the near future.

Domestic Litro gas prices were revised with effect from today.

The price of a 12.5kg domestic gas cylinder has accordingly been increased by Rs.334.

With the revision in price a 12.5kg domestic gas cylinder is now available at Rs.4,743 in the market.
