President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has inspected the vaccination centre established at the Viharamahadevi Open Air Theatre in Colombo.
The vaccination centre is operated by the Sri Lanka Army and is functioning around the clock.
A large number of people have received the second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine at the centre.
As of yesterday, 244,251 persons have received the second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine after a consignment arrived from Japan on Saturday.
Meanwhile, a batch from the consignment that arrived from Japan is being used to administer the first dose for residents of the Kegalle district.
