COLOMBO (NewsRadio); Member of Parliament Harsha de Silva has been appointed as the Chairman of the Committee on Public Finance.
MP Silva was unanimously elected the Chairman during a special COPF meeting held in the presence of President Ranil Wickremesinghe in Parliament.
The COPF Chairmanship was a widely debated topic in recent weeks as the government and the opposition failed to agree on a nomination.
