COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Ceylon Electricity Board will continue to impose two-hour-and-20-minute power cuts despite the conduct of the 2022 Advanced Level Examination.
The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka said it has approved one-hour power cuts during the day and one-hour-and-20-minute power disruption at night for groups A to L and P to W tomorrow.
Although an announcement was made that scheduled power cuts will not be enforced during the Advanced Level Examination period, the CEB has indicated that due to high production cost and lack of funds it is compelled to continue imposing power cuts.
The 2022 GCE Advanced Level Examination will be worked off from tomorrow at 2,200 centres across the country.
