Three state bodies donate Rs.2 billion to the Government’s Joint Fund

The Sri Lanka Port Authority, the Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited and the Civil Aviation Authority have collectively presented a check for Rs. 2 billion to the government's joint fund.

COLOMBO (NewsRadio); The Sri Lanka Port Authority, the Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited and the Civil Aviation Authority have collectively presented a check for Rs. 2 billion to the government’s joint fund.

It was officially handed over to President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday.

Accordingly, the Sri Lanka Port Authority has contributed Rs.1 billion, Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited Rs.500 million and the Civil Aviation Authority Rs.500 million to the joint fund of the government.

The President’s Media Division said Minister of Shipping and Aviation Services Nimal Siripala de Silva, Secretary to the Ministry of Finance Mahinda Siriwardena, Secretary to the Ministry of Shipping and Aviation KDS Ruwanchandra, Chairman of Sri Lanka Authority Keith D. Bernard, Chairman of Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited Major General GA Chandrasiri, Civil Aviation Authority Director General PA Jayakantha and several others participated in this event.
