Police requests public’s assistance in verifying the identity of the remains of the female found in a travelling bag at a garbage dump adjacent to the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery, yesterday.

Police has requested if there are any relatives of women who have disappeared from their homes in the past few days or have no information of their whereabouts to visit the Ragama Teaching Hospital and assist in identifying the remains.

Speaking to NewsRadio, the Officer-in-Charge of the Sapugaskanda Police Station said information can also be obtained from the Police station.

The remains which were found in a travelling bag are currently placed at the Ragama Teaching Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
