Police have issued warnings to drivers of 295 passenger buses in the Western Province, over the failure to adhere to health guidelines.
The Police Media Unit said warnings were also issued to operators of 485 shops.
The special police operation was carried out in the Western Province from noon to 2pm yesterday, to look into whether residents of the province adhere to health guidelines in a stringent manner.
439 Police officers were part of the operation, while 885 passenger buses and air-conditioned buses together with 1,112 retail outlets, pharmacies and other shops were inspected.
