Police have issued warnings to the drivers of 311 passenger buses and 49 air-conditioned buses in the Western Province, over failure to adhere to health guidelines.
The Police Media Unit said warnings were also issued to owners of 480 shops.
The special Police operation was carried out in the Western Province from 12pm to 2pm yesterday, to look into whether residents of the province adhere to health guidelines in a stringent manner.
476 Police officers were part of the operation, while 1,076 passenger buses and air-conditioned buses together with 1,232 retail outlets, pharmacies and small shops were inspected.
