The Sri Lanka Medical Association says the PCR positivity rate should be reduced if the country is to be lifted out of a COVID-19 red zone.

Speaking to media today, Chairperson of the SLMA Dr. Padma Gunaratne said action should be taken to prevent another coronavirus wave in the country.

Dr. Gunaratne said when the coronavirus situation is being mitigated another wave arising must be prevented.

She added Sri Lanka still remains at risk and in a red zone.
